Adam Bissonnette

Adam joined Tufts in November, 2012. His focus will be on Class Reunions, while also working on Homecoming and Student Programming. Prior to joining Tufts, Adam worked at Bentley University as the Assistant Director of Alumni and Parent Special Events and prior to that as Account & Program Operations at NXTevent. Adam graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in Public Relations in 2006.
Timothy Brooks

Tim has been at Tufts since September 1999, when he succeeded Ron Brinn as director of Alumni Relations. From 1994-1999, he was the assistant vice president for Alumni Relations at Fordham University in New York City, and from 1985-1994, vice president of field operations at The Ohio State University Alumni Association, Inc. in Columbus. Tim oversees a staff of 16, to keep alumni feeling connected to their alma mater and to each other, through programs, benefits, services, events, volunteer opportunities and organizations. Tim graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Music Education in 1979, and a Master of Arts in 1983. As a Rotary Foundation Graduate Scholar, in 1984, he received a Graduate Diploma in Performance from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
Megan Carter, A08

Megan joined the Office of Alumni Relations in October 2012. She works with 19 alumni chapters throughout the country, with the goal of engaging alumni through programs and events. Prior to coming to Tufts, Megan was a management consultant for nonprofit organizations with a Boston-based nonprofit consulting and research firm. Megan graduated from Tufts in 2008, where she studied Russian and East European studies and International Relations.

Emily joined the Alumni Relations team in January 2012. Emily’s interest in higher education primarily developed through her involvement with the Student Alumni Association at Northeastern University, from which she graduated in 2010 with a major in Communication Studies. Emily supports members of the Chapter Programs team in the areas of marketing, communication, event execution, and administration.

Alexandra graduated from Bowdoin College in 2010 and worked as an Alumni and Donor Relations Officer at Boston University prior to joining Tufts in November 2012. Her primary focus is Volunteer Management where she works closely with Julie O’Connor to develop new alumni volunteer initiatives.

Mini joined the Office of Alumni Relations in April 2006. Mini focuses on the administration of the Tufts University Alumni Association (TUAA), facilitating the work of the volunteer leadership and committees of the Tufts Alumni Council, a body of 300 alumni elected by their peers. Prior to joining Tufts, Mini was the development director of the Media and Technology Charter High School in Boston, a school she helped to start.
Jonathan J. Kaplan, A96

Jonathan J. Kaplan oversees strategy, new initiatives, event management, and volunteer coordination for over 85 Domestic, International, and Shared Interest groups for Tufts Alumni across the globe. He is also responsible for planning on-campus receptions and lectures, as well as Homecoming and Alumni Weekend events each year. Before joining alumni relations, Jonathan worked in human resources with a concentration in recruiting, training, and organizational development. He was employed previously at Tufts as assistant director for internships and employer outreach in the Office of Career Services.

Matt joined the Office of Alumni Relations in June of 2013 after spending his prior 7 years in Higher Education split between Tufts University and Harvard University’s athletics and student affairs offices. Matt graduated in 2008 from the Tufts University Educational Studies program with a concentration in Higher Education Administration. In his former roles, he worked with student groups and athletic coaches/teams to help put on various events, games and competitions. His role in the Alumni Relations office is to be a part of the Regional Programs team and now works with 20 alumni chapters throughout the country to engage alumni through a variety of programs and events.

Karen collaborates with the Outreach and Engagement team to organize class reunions celebrations. She also manages many components of the Alumni Weekend programming. Additionally, Karen works with Tufts University Alumni Association committees, including Homecoming and Special Constituencies.

Julie joined Tufts in March, 2003. Julie is responsible for developing and implementing programs that focus on the recruitment, training, recognition and retention of alumni volunteers. Prior to joining Tufts, Julie worked at the Gillette Company for several years in the areas of meeting management and in employee services.

Megan graduated from Tufts in May 2012 with a double major in International Relations & European History. As the Alumni Relations Assistant, she works primarily with the alumni association and its governing body, the Tufts Alumni Council. She also serves as front-line customer service for alumni and supports the alumni relations staff, working with teams on regional programs, shared interest groups, and special events.

Steven joined Tufts in March of 2012 as the Staff Assistant to both Tim Brooks and Usha Sellers. His primary responsibilities are administrative support to the office of Alumni Relations and the Travel-Learn Program. He comes to Tufts after three years’ experience working in the Advancement division.

Tom collaborates with the Tufts University Alumni Association and the Outreach and Engagement Team to develop meaningful programming for alumni worldwide. This is done through Alumni Weekend, class reunion, shared interest groups, and regional programming. He is the direct liaison to the Tufts University Alumni Association committees for Homecoming and Alumni Weekend. Tom is also an elected member of the Tufts Alumni Council.
