On December 8, more than 60 Boston alumni cleaned out their mothers’ closets for an Ugly Sweater Party at Meadhall in Kendall Square. From light-up Christmas trees to black terriers with bows to giant snowflakes, the festive sweaters were a great excuse to kick off the holiday season with some after-work drinks.
But the true reason for the season was not lost: event sponsor ACT Boston collected more than 75 winter apparel donations for the homeless at the event. Folks made their donations at the door, which even inspired a few passersby to add to the collection—and join in on the fun.
