2004 Alumni Trustee and Alumni Council Election Results

Tufts University Alumni Association proudly announces the results of the Alumni Trustee and Council elections conducted this spring.
William R. O’Reilly, Jr., A77 and Sharon Mead Halverson, J65 were elected to serve five year terms as Alumni Trustees.
Thirteen alumni were elected to ten year terms on the Alumni Council. They include: David Backman, A94, Catherine Carrington, J00, Kathleen Devigne, J96, Betty Hinkley, J63, George Hirsch, A74, Ellie Kleinman, J92, Rebecca McCaskill, J96, Amy Newman, J93, Claudia Scholtz, J95, Jeffrey Stewart, A90, Courtney Wang, A78, Thomas Williams, A92, and Leverett Wing, A90.
Elected from the graduate and professional schools were: Kate Kaplan, G95, Robert Steck, F81, Dara Chira, J89, D93 and Kathleen Marc, J73, M80.
The Tufts Alumni Council, the governing body of the alumni association annually elects an executive board to oversee and implement the goals of the fifteen standing committees. For 2004-2005 the members of the Executive Committee are: President: Ann Palmieri, J78, First Vice President: Julie Monahan Brady, J89; Administrative Vice Presidents: Karen Johns, J88 and Ben Sands, E54; Regional Vice Presidents: Elizabeth Hawthorne, J65 (Chicago), David Meyers A96, (Washington, DC area) and Esther Rudis G74, (Los Angeles); Directors: Mark Alpert, A70, Kathleen Gallery, J62, Elaine Kasparian, J58, Mel Prague, A48 and Richard Yanofsky, A76; Treasurer: Chris Goguen, A92.
Four members of the Class of 2004 were also elected as Transitional Members to the Alumni Council. The seniors, elected by their classmates to serve on these five-year terms are: Joshua Belkin, Nikhil Abraham, Joseph Coletti, and Mitch Lunn.
