Alumni Weekend 2010 Brings Back Graduates Eager to Connect

June 14, 2010

Tufts graduates rediscovered, reconnected, and renewed their friendships during the annual Tufts Alumni Weekend celebration from May 21 - 23, 2010 in Medford, Mass.

It was a special time for those celebrating a reunion year, and it was fun for alumni of any age to enjoy all-class events, such as the tradition of the 110th annual Tufts Night at Pops, the glamorous "Cirque d'Elephant," and the festive Alumni Family Picnic. A Saturday afternoon wine tasting event was a very successful new addition to the program as well. This year also marked the first time that Tufts held a One-Year Reunion, attended by 150 members of the Class of 2009.

Other Alumni Weekend 2010 events included an alumni service project to beautify the corner of Winthrop Street and Boston Ave., Super Seminars, the "55 & Over" Reunion celebration, the third annual Jumbo Love Breakfast, the Cavalcade of Classes, and receptions for the School of Engineering Alumni and Shared Interest Groups, such as Tufts Daily, Black Alumni Association, Asian-American Alumni, LGBT Alumni, and Theta Delta Chi.

Saturday reunion parties and the "Top O the Hill Tribute" candlelight procession led into Sunday's graduation festivities.
