Location:
Home of Ken Aidekman, A75

Short Hills, NJ
When: Sunday, January 31, 2010, 2:59 pm - 4:59 pm (iCal)
Description
David Shephard spent nearly a decade in prison for a crime he did not commit. Hear Mr. Shephard talk about his experience, accompanied by Vanessa Potkin, the Innocence Project attorney who helped overturn his conviction. Read both of their biographies on the Innocence Project website!
Exonerees have much to teach us about the fragility of freedom that we may take for granted. We owe them an opportunity to show us the weak links in our criminal justice system and explain how we can help reduce the risk of wrongful imprisonment. The Innocence Project is a non-profit organization that works to exonerate innocent prisoners based on DNA evidence.
This event is co-sponsored by the Tufts Lawyers Association.
RSVP
Register online (or via the Facebook group event listing) by January 25.
Cost
Admission is free for all Tufts alumni and their guests.
