Description
All members of the Tufts Community are invited by Tufts School of Engineering to attend a celebrating Curio House, the fully operational, energy-efficient, marketable, solar-powered home entry in the biennial U.S. Department of Energy's Solar Decathlon international competition. Curio house represents a collaborative project between Tufts University and Boston Architectural College. Your host, Vincent Manno, associate provost and professor of mechanical engineering, will discuss this exciting joint project and take you on a behind-the-scenes tour of Curio House on the National Mall. We are extremely excited to recognize this new and tremendous achievement for Tufts!

Tour buses will depart from Hyatt
Tour 1*: 7:15 pm
Tour 2*: 7:45 pm
* After the tour, buses will return guests to the reception location.
The event begins with a catered reception with faculty, staff, students and other alumni, as well as an informal review of the project’s design and development process by the project team. Following the reception, guests are invited to participate in a guided tour of the Tufts Solar Decathlon team’s completed “Curio House” on the Washington Mall.
