Description
Please join Tufts Alumni of New Jersey, a chapter of the Tufts University Alumni Association, at the Yogi Berra Museum as we welcome Sol Gittleman, Alice and Nathan Gantcher University Professor and former Senior Vice President and Provost of Tufts University to discuss “Teaching the National Pastime: American History and Baseball in the Classroom.” Enjoy “Ball Park” cuisine (franks, beer and more) along with a taste of the senior seminar taught by Sol. His course examines “The National Pastime” both inside and outside the lines, how it was played, and the place of this children’s game in the American psyche. The museum will be open for touring throughout the evening.
